In recent years, global warming has been rising to dangerous levels, and the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation is one of the organizations helping the fight against it. With this campaign, there are posters, pins, and more designed to help spread awareness. The concept behind the visual assets is depicting the The North Face's iconic logo starting to melt and drip, showcasing global warming's effects.
The main design for this campaign features The North Face logo melting in white and black, but other color options were explored such as the logo in different shades of blue, reminiscent of rising seas levels.
OTHER ITERATIONS
Displayed below are other iterations explored for the social campaign, depicting The North Face logo affected by different natural disasters that have become commonplace with global warming and climate change.
This iteration, showing a wildfire burning through a hillside, also depicts the North Face logo burning, charred and crumbling to pieces. Black was chosen as the color for the logo in this iteration in order to make it nearly illegible and to emphasize the devastating effect of wildfires and how burnt things affected by them can become.
This iteration, showing a tropical storm and fierce winds blowing against trees and a seaside building, also depicts the North Face logo being blown away. The logo in this iteration was set in white like most of the other graphics in the campaign. The logo being blown apart and away was meant to emphasize the devastating effect of hurricanes and tropical storms.
